About
Free Flow – Zines der Jugendliche was a hands-on, week-long workshop where fourteen young people came together to explore their emotions through the creation of 3D zines. Led by Nadine Rahimtoola and Jessica Hellmann, and hosted at Fuchsbau, Haus der Jugend, the project encouraged participants to dive deep into emotional expression using both traditional and unconventional materials.
Through group brainstorming and creative experimentation, the teens crafted tactile, expressive artworks — zines not only made from paper, but also clay, natural elements, and found objects. These 3D zines challenged the boundaries of visual storytelling and offered a new way to “read” emotion through form and texture. The week concluded with a small exhibition, where friends and family were invited to experience the powerful and personal works the participants had created.
